Literacy Across Seas
What is Literacy Across Seas?
A way of stepping up how we give back to a larger scale. A chapter of APL for Round Rock based at Leap4ward school. A way to easily gather and send books and money to start a library in Africa under the guidance of an experienced mentor, 3-8 students form groups under a mentor. Students will learn how to efficiently collect donations and funds to ship the books through frequent contact with the mentor and interaction. After 5 book drives a student is eligible to become a mentor. For more information click below!!!
ByteBack Initiative
What is the ByteBack Initiative?
The ByteBack Initiative is a club dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing underprivileged kids with access to technology. We collect donations from companies and run fundraisers to gather PC parts, which we then use to build fully functional computers. Through this process, members gain hands-on experience with computer hardware, fundraising, and community outreach. Our goal is to empower the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world. For more information click below!!!
Future City Team
What is the Future City Team?
The Future Cities Club is a place for students interested in urban planning and engineering. We participate in the Future Cities Competition, where we design and build a model city that addresses a current or future engineering challenge. We learn about urban planning and engineering concepts, brainstorm and design our model city, research and develop solutions to engineering challenges, build and present our model city, and prepare for the Future Cities Competition.
